Webex, Inc., a manufacturer of precision engineered rolls and custom converting machinery used in web converting, packaging and printing applications, has been acquired by Bertram Capital, a private equity firm based in San Mateo, CA, USA. The acquisition marks Bertram’s second platform investment and third transaction in the plastic processing and web handling equipment industry.  Bertram recapitalized the company from a group of investors which included members of the management team and Chicago, IL-based private equity firm Wynnchurch Capital.

Webex designs and manufactures precision rolls, custom machinery and related components for a  diverse set of customers and manufacturing sectors including: flexible packaging, paper, consumer products, food and beverage, aerospace, pharmaceutical and health care, and alternative energy. The company operates four manufacturing facilities located in Wisconsin and Massachusetts.
